From Feb 15 to Feb 19 Always Best Choices came to Citrus High , to talk to the health class taught by Coach Haines about the best choices that teens can always make in there lifetime when it comes to drugs, alcohol and sex.
There where four representatives from ABC here the two main speakers were Pete McCumber and Kaitlyn Neely who enticed the classroom with stories, games and startling statistics such as two Americans every hour contract the HIV virus and over a million teens are impregnated every month.
They always ended the class with a special candy to be given to the class ’smarties‘ for being such a smart class ‘dumb dumb lolipops’ for making sure not to make dumb choices and on the last day they gave ‘Treasure’ Candy’s for being treasures.
“There were four of them I think and they just told us about the choices we should make,” freshman Edmund Brooke-Meer said.
The ABC team stays for one week in the health class then goes to a different school coming back every nine weeks, the health class itself only takes up nine weeks of a students schedule.
