Future Business Leaders of America competed in districts Feb. 5 in Marion County and will be going to state on April 5 in Orlando. Juniors David Poteete and senior Adam Santa Fe were in a group together and placed first in the business presentation section.
”They said my last name wrong when they called me up,” Poteete said. “It was embarrassing.”
While waiting for awards to start there were guest speakers.
“There were different activities such as ballroom dancing, table edicate and humor in the work place,” Poteete said.” I was lucky enough to miss the ballroom dancing.”
Poteete and Santa Fe both were awarded ribbons for their project
“Our FBLA project was about convincing students to be a business teacher using the environment, the salary, and employment rate,” Santa Fe said.
Santa Fe and Poteete are both very excited to be going to state.
“Hopefully we place high enough to go to nationals,” Santa Fe said.
