Students are Talking…Haiti Earthquake

Question:Do you think America is doing enough to help Haiti?

Answers:

Freshman Tyler McIntosh: “Yes, because they’re helping people and giving them money.”

Freshman Brianna Smith: “They could do more I think.”

Freshman Sydney Schantz: ” Yes, I do. I feel like were almost doing too much. There was an article on CNN.com complaining that they have too many doctors and not enough nurses. We’ve been spending all this money on them to stabilize themselves.”

Freshman Taylor Hoffmann: “I do indeed think that America is doing enough.”

Freshman Stephen Burke: “I think it would help if they did things faster.”

Sophomore Kevin Webb: ” No, ’cause Americans are greedy.”

Sophomore Austin Brown: “Yes, because it’s all over the news about how were helping and it’s on facebook games.”

Sophomore Brianna Fleming: “I think were tyring, I dont know if it’s going to be enough but at least we’re doing our best.”

Sophomore Jacob Lane: “I don’t believe so ’cause 200,000 people already died and America is bringing so few and I think we could bring our relief efforts to Haiti.”

Sophomore Jenna Gilbert: “I think they are doing the best they can becuase of how there is a lot of stuff going on there and it’s difficult to get things there.”

Junior Katy Abramowich: “I think were doing what we can, but we should share our extra blessings.”

Junior Dillon Crawford: “Yes we’re rebuilding houses for them and my dad is helping.”

Junior Hannah Wimer: “I think they’re doing stuff but the big corporate companies and people with money could do a lot more. People on cruises could pack their ships with supplies and deliver them. A lot of ships go to Haiti so if they [should] clean up [the beaches] and go back.”

Junior McKenzie Brisson: “I think we should stop helping them and focus on our own country.”

Junior Joe Goodsite: “Yeah, I guess.”

Senior Jeffery Parker: “No, becuase no one is really donating anything but spare change.”

Senior Alexa Crofchick: “Yeah we are because we have given them a lot of money and we don’t even take our own countries problems as serious.”

Senior Rae Richie: “Yes, we raised over nine million dollars  for them in three hours.”

Senior Tiffany Richards: “Yes, they’re supporting enough and a lot of people are doing many things to give support.”
